Tell us a little about yourself and your salon?
My name is Lauren McNamee and I have been in the industry for 15 years. I started as a wedding hair stylist and makeup artist. I opened Blush Girl 8 years ago. I started very small and have grown a lot, particular in the last 2 years. I am passionate about lifting the standard of our industry in order to create the best possible work environment for stylists. I really think about how people feel when they are sitting in the chair and how the stylist feels with the space around them - that's why I designed the salon to be light and airy with lots of space between chairs and not over crowded.
Explain why you chose to stock O&M?
I choose O&M because I feel aligned with the brand. I love the way it looks, smells and feels in the hair. I enjoy the simplicity of the range, it's not over the top, it is a product that addresses each issue - it's perfect!
Tell us what O&M products you used to create the look and why.
I used the Atonic Thickening Spritz to give the hair some hold and volume and create texture, the Frizzy Logic Shine Serum to add shine, smooth down the ends and give a polished healthy glow to the hair and the Original Queenie Hair Spray to bring everything together and hold my style in place for the day.
Why did you choose to create this look?
The colour is doing the talking here so I just wanted to give her a soft, feminine blowout to show off this stunning hair and colour. Working with the original mineral product to give us some hold, without looking heavy.
